Our client is looking for a Business Support Officer to join their family first and friendly team. Our ClientOur client is one of the UKs leading independent professional firms of machinery and business asset valuers and auctioneers. Operating across a wide range of commercial and industrial sectors they have an enviable reputation for providing timely, straightforward, practical advice in the valuation and realisation of machinery and business assets. The RoleTo manage a demanding and reactive workload in a responsive way. Act as a liaison internally and externally between the directors, the company, and their extensive client base. To that effect it is paramount to become involved and knowledgeable in the working issues of the company. Content management of Company website and social media sites To support and manage filing systems Provide secretarial and administrative support to the directors, prepare documents and business presentations (which may be confidential and complex in nature). To manage the corporate client liaison and entertainment diary, ad hoc promotional events, contact management and associated record systems. Deal with own e-mails, draft own correspondence. Maintain and manage domain name registration and associated matters. Maintain and manage management statistics and information. Assist with auction marketing material and attend sales when required. Maintain and manage personnel records, training schedules, holiday and sickness records. Maintain the motor insurance database for company vehicles. Maintain buyers contact database and migration of auction and website registrants details. (Internal training will be given). Upload On-Line Timed Auctions to the BidSpotter Platform (Internal training will be given). The Candidate A good general education to enable effective verbal and written communications The ability to provide efficient and effective administrative support Experience of operating efficient office systems. Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Social Media familiarity (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube uploading content, posting updates etc.) The ability to maintain efficient, effective and secure filling systems. Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and customers and all levels. Excellent word processing skills and able to compose correspondence on standard issues. Able to show flexibility and initiative Possess strong organisational skills, the ability to manage priorities and multi-tasking skills The Terms This role is full time, however our client works in a very flexible way and will allow for outside commitments where necessary.
