Role Overview:
As a Private Client Lawyer, you will take responsibility for complex cases and provide guidance to junior team members. You will manage a diverse portfolio, ranging from estate planning for high-net-worth individuals to trust management and contentious probate cases. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of clients, offering expert legal advice and building long-term professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing detailed advice on wills, trusts, and estate planning.
* Managing probate and estate administration, including high-value and complex matters.
* Advising clients on tax-efficient inheritance and succession planning.
* Drafting legal documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and trust deeds.
* Offering guidance on Court of Protection matters and deputyship applications.
* Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service.
* Keeping up to date with legal developments in private client law.
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE in private client law.
* In-depth knowledge of inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and trust law.
* Experience managing high-value estates and advising high-net-worth clients.
* Excellent leadership and client relationship management skills.
* Proven track record in business development.
* STEP qualification or progress towards STEP accreditation is desirable.
