Vehicle Engineering
As our next CAD Engineer - Body Closures, you'll be instrumental in driving the development of the vehicle body. Your remit will be to create CAD models of components, systems, and master sections.
To excel in this role, you'll need to be someone who can learn quickly, integrate into a successful and dynamic team, and work both autonomously and as part of a team. It's important that you have a proactive and positive approach to work, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver them to demanding targets and tight deadlines. You should also be able to analyse data and situations and come up with creative solutions. Additionally, you'll be making suggestions on the most appropriate manufacturing procedure based on the design.
You'll be responsible for the creation of 3D CAD models, preparation of Part Manufacturing Information, and management of data within the PLM system. You'll also assist in the preparation of Engineering Release packs, review & present design concepts and solutions, and investigate and support issue resolution during the vehicle life-cycle.

The Key Requirements...
1. Extensive experience in the creation of 3D models using Siemens NX software.
2. Experience of BIW design of components and systems, in particular one or more of the following: metal castings, extrusions, pressings/forming, RTM, SMC & C/F panels.
3. Educated to a minimum of HND level (NQF level 5) or equivalent in an engineering related discipline or can demonstrate considerable experience within Body Structures engineering.
