. Role Description An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Underwriter to join our successful Regional Financial Lines team at Allianz. The role will be located in London, Maidstone, Chelmsford or Southampton and you will be required to do 3 days a week on site/in office. As part of this growth and ambition, we are now looking for a talented, ambitious and passionate underwriting professional to join us on our journey to build a ‘Best in Industry’ team which sets the gold standard within the Allianz Group. The role will include everything from pricing risks, chasing in new business, and analysing claims data, to implementing bespoke scheme arrangements; including answering day to day queries from Brokers, and ensuring that renewal terms are sent out in accordance with our compliance rules and regulations, developing broker relationships through regular broker visits and collaborating with your colleagues in other departments to support our ambitious growth plans. You'll participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Furthermore, for pricing-based roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to enable the actuarial qualification to be obtained through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK. Salary Information Pay: Circa £45,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package. About You As the Financial Lines Underwriter you will be responsible for; Providing excellent service to our Customers Collaborating and build a successful relationship with the Regional and wider UK Financial Lines Team Building successful broker relationships Achieving agreed financial performance targets Collaborating strongly with other departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery Processing renewals and mid-term adjustments Sending out documents to Brokers ensuring that we adhere to compliance and regulation You will focus on building broker relationships and driving new business. Essential Skills To be successful in this role you will be able to/have; Underwrite new business enquiries received by brokers, actively engage in prospecting activities to secure new business growth. Experience with Professional Indemnity (PI) and/or Directors and Officers (D&O) Underwriting Negotiate within authority and referring where appropriate to maximise customer growth including persuading, influencing and convincing customers of the benefits of an opposed course of action. Track record as a confident negotiator. Build, develop and maintain positive broker relationships. A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude Highly customer focused with ability to build broker relationships. Good influencing and negotiation skills. Strong capability for team working.
