Our client, a leading name in the engineering sector, is seeking an Instrumentation and Monitoring Manager. This permanent position entails overseeing critical construction support services, particularly focusing on geotechnical aspects for HS2.
Key Skills Required for This Role
Instrumentation & Monitoring - Geology
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting in establishing a team to deliver services, comprising site-based and office-based support representatives
* Responding to technical queries (TQ's), requests for information (RFI's) and early warning notices (EWN's)
* Reviewing Temporary Works designs for integration with the permanent works design
* Reviewing and accepting permanent works materials
* Reviewing fabrication details for integration with permanent works
* Producing as-built records and details
* Contributing to quarterly reports to the contractor
* Providing safety leadership within the organisation
* Monitoring and supporting the Site Support Team to ensure contractual services are met
* Maintaining consistency across all teams
* Liaising with the Construction Services Manager on resource requirements to align with construction activities
* Meeting budget, timeframe and quality targets, exceeding client expectations
* Promoting and marketing services during client interfaces and across other sectors and disciplines
Job Requirements:
* Experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
* Strong understanding of construction support services
* Proficiency in handling technical queries, requests for information and early warning notices
* Ability to review and integrate Temporary and Permanent Works designs
* Experience in producing as-built records and reports
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills
* Strong focus on safety leadership and implementation
* Ability to liaise effectively with managers and stakeholders
* Excellent communication and marketing skills
