Oxford Grove is a two form entry school located in a vibrant and diverse community, putting learning at the heart of all we do. Due to the phased retirement of the current post holder, the Governors of our friendly and inclusive primary school are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and conscientious Office Supervisor to join our dedicated team of professionals.
We are looking to appoint a forward thinking and innovative individual whose background and experience would enable them to fulfil this demanding and diverse role. Previous experience of working within a busy school office would be essential. Current systems and procedures within the office are fully embedded therefore the successful candidate will need to ensure processes continue to run smoothly. However, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the current post holder to aid a seamless handover.
We are looking for someone who is able to:
demonstrate strong organisational skills and manage effective administrative systems throughout the school;
ensure the school’s compliance with sound principles of school finance and best value including budget planning and monitoring;
be responsible for the effective management of the school buildings including Health & Safety and the environment, in liaison with the school site manager;
carry out the role using high calibre interpersonal and communication skills
generate additional income & explore external funding or grant opportunities.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have:
the ability to effectively lead and provide a hands on daily oversight to the administration and site team;
Consistently high expectations of themselves and their colleagues
a strong financial background with previous successful experience of planning, delivering budgets and managing projects and people;
excellent Microsoft Office skills and a good working knowledge of the school’s Management Information System and ICT Infrastructure;
the ability to oversee and ensure full GDPR compliance within school in partnership with the SLT;
the capacity and willingness to contribute to the life of the whole school;
the skills needed to promote a positive image of the school through the execution of this role;
