We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that.
You’ll be working in the local community, managing up to 750 homes and building relationships with our tenants to help them sustain their tenancies. You’ll assist them with documents, ensure their homes are safe, and handle any issues that arise.
The people we support can be vulnerable and have complex needs, and the work we do with them has a significant positive impact on their quality of life.
It’s a rewarding job – one where you can use your skills and experience to improve the lives of those who need it most.
We’ll help you develop and broaden your skillset - after all, it’s in our interest to help you be the best you can be. For example, we can support you in gaining a CIH qualification.
You’ll be working with a range of partners (for example, social care, police, and voluntary organisations). We need you to build and maintain strong relationships with them to deliver the best outcomes for our tenants.
Although you’ll be able to work from home at times (1-2 days per week depending on workload), the majority of the time will be spent out in the community, working closely with tenants and teams we’re in partnership with.
We offer ongoing support, training, and guidance to help you excel in this role.
You’ll need proven experience of working in the social housing sector and the ability to work closely with customers to tackle complex issues. As part of this role, you’ll deal with challenging situations (for example, anti-social behaviour), so you’ll also need to be resilient, with problem-solving skills and the ability to implement solutions.
We’re proud to be here for the people of Somerset. An important part of this is ensuring that we are as diverse and inclusive as the people and communities we serve. We welcome applications from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences to enrich our team.
We offer great training and development opportunities, with supportive management. Additionally, we have some fantastic employee benefits available:
* We promote a healthy work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements wherever possible, including working from home.
* Generous annual leave allowance, with the opportunity to purchase additional leave.
* Staff discounts in gyms.
* Employee Assistance for times when you may need support and a variety of employee wellbeing services.
* Auto-enrolment onto our generous Pension Scheme and optional pension enhancement through our Additional Voluntary Contribution scheme.
* A Flexible Benefits Scheme via salary sacrifice to obtain a cycle for work and health screenings.
* My Staff Shop offering discounts in shops, online shopping, restaurants, cinema tickets, insurance benefits, and more.
