The opportunity :
A global drinks brand with an amazing culture is looking for a KAE with out of home / wholesale / or food service experience.
Managing and building great customer relationships, you will execute JBPS whilst working closely with the marketing and shopper teams to deliver mutual growth and create maximum brand impact.
The Account Executive is the key external interface with their customers – championing internally to ensure customer insights are shaping their plans & tailoring propositions externally. Working with the On Trade Controller, you will be responsible for managing spend in line with an agreed commercial calendar.
Candidates should have FMCG sales experience within the drinks industry and have a great understanding of the Wholesale / Out of Home / Food Service sectors. You are a ‘doer’, organised, and with the ability to network internally & externally.
What will my key accountabilities be ?
* Selling products & plans to the Customer & executing the joint business plan with the customer
* Developing and maintaining a matrix of contacts across all functions in the customer and managing the external relationship with the respective customers
* Ensuring all admin associated with the customer is delivered to a high standard. This would include Promotional Proposals, Invoicing, Debt Management & Trade Spend Tracking
* Developing a deep understanding of execution levers in the customer
* Working with Category and Shopper teams, to lead the execution of the commercial plan in the customer using all appropriate levers to create maximum brand impact
* Working with Supply Chain to always ensure the right levels of stock availability
* Actively pursuing new business opportunities for the channel
* Developing an annual Customer plan to meet and exceed target KPIs aligned with the Controller
* Forecasting all volume and working spend in line with agreed commercial calendar and customer activation
* Delivery of the Customer volume, net sales and GP delivery within month, quarter and year
* Monthly review and analysis of Customer performance versus plan and prior year
Who will I be working with ?
External: Customers Buying, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations Teams
Internal: Cross functional team across Sales/Category/Marketing/Shopper/Finance/Supply Chain (Demand Planning) & Sales Controller
A great candidate will have ?
* Broad business and market knowledge showcasing a good understanding of FMCG marketplace, key players, and market dynamics
* Ability to build and sustain long-term relationships at all levels and has a good understanding of how an Account Manager/Buyer relationship functions
* Can manage their own diary, is well organised and can prioritise business and customer objectives
* Excellent commercial and financial numeracy skills and can build strategically sound, financially robust proposals
* Strong capability in Excel and experience of TPM and/or Volume forecasting systems
* Focuses with a growth mindset and can work cross functionally with other departments
* An entrepreneurial approach in the role is key to building and sustaining new long-term relationships and business
* Degree educated or equivalent experience
