The role requires strong collaboration with multiple teams across the company, including IT, security, finance, operations, engineering, data architects, data scientists, and data engineers, to ensure proper management and utilization of Data Catalog & data quality tools across the company.
The Senior Data Governance Specialist role offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong data skills and experience in data governance to help shape and drive enterprise-wide data governance at Silicon Labs.
Key Responsibilities include:

* Collaborating with Business Units and Functional areas to ensure data-related requirements are clearly defined, communicated, integrated into processes, and considered in planning.
* Facilitating the development and implementation of data quality standards across the enterprise.
* Implementing and maintaining the data catalog, considering discoverability, compliance, privacy, security, and quality.
* Leading data governance delivery streams to help Business Units and Functional areas comply with the data governance operating model.
* Defining success indicators for monitoring performance and quality, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance.
* Acting as a primary contact for escalation of data-related queries and quality issues for data governance representatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
* At least 5-7 years of experience in operational data and/or data governance roles.
* Knowledge of data governance practices, including managing enterprise information assets and data protection approaches.
* Demonstrated leadership skills, including change management, communication, culture change, and performance measurement.
* Knowledge of data catalog and data quality tools, including deployment and adoption.
