Housing, Health and Communities Housing Compliance and Enforcement Officer £32,076 - £34,834 per annum 37 hours per week 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract Do you have experience of managing caseloads of medium and high risk anti-social behaviour cases? Have you developed and maintained expert knowledge of ASB prevention and collaborated with key external partners through creating effective relationships, to resolve local housing related safety issues? If so, you could be the next enforcement specialist here at Warwick District Council. You’ll manage a full range of casework, ensuring WDC’s Housing department’s response to serious breaches of conditions of tenancy and reports of high level anti-social behaviour is delivered within agreed timeframes, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure compliance with all necessary protocols, keeping accurate records and maintaining risk assessments. You’ll engage with internal and external legal teams on complex cases, preparing documentation and where needed representing Warwick District Council at Court and external meetings. You’ll provide our Housing Officers with advice, support and all necessary tools and tactics to remedy cases with a key focus on prevention, intervention, and enforcement when necessary. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be mobile and have access to a car to visit victims and perpetrators in their homes where safe to do so. We operate a hybrid working model, but you will be expected to attend the office regularly for meetings, training and networking as required and a lot if time spent visiting estates/areas across the district. You’ll collaborate with colleagues in Customer Services and Community Safety team to identify support needs, accessing relevant agencies for both victims and perpetrators of anti-social behaviour, completing referrals to mediation and other support services as appropriate. The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
