A government agency responsible for distributing funds across a variety of causes. This role is an opportunity for a Solicitor to join a large team of twelve, with no line management responsibilities. This is a fast-paced in-house legal team which works on a broad range of matters.
The successful candidate will be required to provide legal advice across areas of law including but not limited to contracts, procurement, charity, litigation, insolvency, subsidy and state aid, debt recovery and public law. You will be responsible for your own case load of matters from inception to completion, with some administrative support being available
To be considered for the role, you will have a minimum 2 years PQE and have relevant experience in commercial law and ideally have experience of public law. You should have strong experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial and security documents as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Finally, knowledge of debt recovery/litigation and state aid/subsidy law would be beneficial.
The role can be fully remote as well as being based out of any of the UK offices, these are Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Newcastle and Newtown. Candidates may be required to travel to London on occasion. National: £40,000 - £42,500, London £46,539 - £48,000. This is a permanent, full-time role.
