Reablement Support Worker - Evenings and Weekends
At Nexxus Care, our Reablement Support Workers support clients to remain in their own homes for as long as possible by regaining their independence and introducing new skills. The role of our Reablement Team is to provide short-term home care and reablement while focusing on independence and wellbeing. This may include supporting with personal care needs when required.
As this is a community-based role, you are required to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
Working alongside our occupational therapist team to support and identify additional aids and equipment that can help the customer achieve their goals.
The reablement programme can be for up to 6 weeks and is designed to re-enable the client to maintain their independence.
* Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female-only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
Shift times are 7am - 2pm and 4pm - 10pm; must be flexible to work alternate weekend shifts as a minimum.
About You
The desired candidate will need to be confident in meeting new people, have good communication skills, be caring, reliable, patient as well as observant.
Support workers will receive:
* up to 28 days annual leave
* excellent rates of pay of £12 per hour
* paid travel time/full shift allowance
* 35p per business mile
* weekly pay
* enhanced bank holiday rates of up to £24ph*

* Good communication and interpersonal skills including showing empathy to service users
* Presenting a positive outlook
* Able to adapt and respond to change
* Flexible to cover multiple areas
* Willing to support a variety of needs including personal and intimate care needs
* Possess a caring nature
* Be comfortable providing additional care support if required, i.e., personal care
* Attend induction training and complete e-learning
