Our client is a Renewable Energy market leader in the fast-growing heat pump sector offering a wide range of services from design, service and installation to owning and operating the systems. They have some of the most experienced design and installation teams in the UK and have completed hundreds of projects since their inception.
The company was established in 2012 with the goal of becoming the number one provider of renewable heating in the UK. A new joint venture with institutional backing provides an exciting opportunity for rapid growth as heat pumps become the technology of choice for the UK's net zero ambitions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in resource, time and stakeholder management to deliver complex projects. The role will require someone that is organised and with good planning skills together with the self-structure required to work autonomously, and in a wider team. In anticipation of a significant period of growth, the candidate will be keen to take ownership of tasks and the development of new processes and systems required to take the company through the next stage of growth.
Main Purpose of Job:
Our client is looking to hire a motivated and energetic engineer to support the installation and service teams in a period of significant growth. As part of our installation and service team, the responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring installations are delivered on time and on budget.
2. Maintaining quality standards and compliant installations.
3. Ensure Health and Safety is fully implemented and adhered to on site.
4. Directly manage mechanical and electrical engineers and manage project resource.
5. Liaise with contractors for project delivery and attend contractor meetings and progress meetings.
6. Coordinate timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
7. Work to set targets and budgets.
8. Report on project progress.
9. Other duties and special projects as required by management.
Requirements:
1. Hands-on experience in a Supervisory role, ideally within the plumbing & heating, construction and/or Building Services/HVAC sector.
2. NVQ or similar.
3. Excellent time and resource management skills.
4. Experience in managing mechanical and electrical engineers.
5. SSSTS certification.
6. Plantroom MEP fit out experience would be desirable.
7. Hold a valid CSCS card.
8. Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed.
9. Clean drivers' licence.
Package:
1. £45k to £55k per annum basic salary (depending on experience).
