Job Description:
Loom Talent are supporting with the recruitment of a Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights/Twilights) for a well-known food distributor in Coleshill.
The Role:
The Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights/Twilights) will be responsible for leading all warehouse-based activity across the shift and will report to the Depot manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations: Leading your team to ensure all vehicles are loaded and ready for the next day. Being hands on and present within the warehouse to support with tasks and to ensure deadlines are met. Remote management of a separate location in the UK.
2. People-Centric Leadership: Lead and inspire a dedicated team to reach their full potential. Your focus on the well-being and development of your staff will be the cornerstone of success whilst having a continuous improvement mindset.
3. Health & Safety: Uphold rigorous health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness throughout the warehouse and distribution arm of the business.
4. Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation.
Key Candidate Requirements:
1. Comfortable working from 17:00 - 02:00, Sun - Thu - Essential.
2. Strong problem-solving and the ability to make decisions - Essential.
3. Have a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
4. Have a minimum of 3+ years' experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Shift Manager or general Operations Management - Essential.
5. Have strong people management and leadership skills - Essential.
6. Ability to commute to Coleshill - Essential.
7. A working knowledge of WMS / ERP systems - Advantageous.
8. An understanding of Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Methodology - Advantageous.
Salary & Benefits Package:
1. Salary - £35,000 to £40,000 (Dependent on experience).
