Description Brief We are currently looking to recruit a talented Transactional Projects & Construction lawyer with 4-12 years’ PQE to join our expanding Transactional Projects & Construction Team in our office in Leeds. It is also ranked Tier 1 in Chambers for Construction in Yorkshire. The team handles complex infrastructure projects, assists with conventional power generation issues, advises on large-scale offshore wind projects and also advises on high-value development projects. They are also recognised as an authority on 'Net Zero Carbon' technologies, like carbon capture and low-carbon hydrogen developments. However, we would also consider applicants with a strong background in commercial contracts combined with a genuine interest in pursuing their career in a different direction. Overall, the successful candidate will have the opportunity of exposure to both construction and projects work so experience and flexibility in that regard is an advantage. The successful candidate will: have gained experience in a large commercial firm, in-house legal team or local authority; be a team player, able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues in an agile environment; be technically strong and exercise good commercial judgment; have the interpersonal skills necessary for this client-facing role. The role is wide-ranging, will focus on and include: developing on-going relationships with an existing client base as well as pitching for new opportunities; developing close working relationships as part of an international team; the opportunity to be involved in work in the very best national and international construction work.
