We are looking for an experienced registered care manager to embark on a new adventure with a fantastic care at home organisation based in Dundee.
You will be responsible for efficient day-to-day running of the business and manage all aspects of client care by providing excellent management and leadership to ensure staff are clear about their duties.
You will:
1. Manage the planning and delivery of support packages and care rotas and ensure they are in place for the smooth and efficient running of the services
2. Handle reports and manage the financial effectiveness of budgets as specified by the management
3. Liaise with and maintain partnerships with health professionals and other local community organizations
4. Hire and train new staff and provide ongoing supervision and development for existing members
5. Take ownership of quality assurance and governance through scheduled spot checks, service reviews, internal audits, and risk assessments
6. Supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of people and identify and prepare development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provisions
7. Actively promote independence by safeguarding complex needs, organizing activities for service users and providing advice and support to their families
8. Undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably
Skills and Qualifications Needed:
9. This post will suit a Care Manager with at least 2 years of extensive experience and knowledge with a recognised professional qualification like SVQ 4 or above in health and social care, health, teaching or education, and evidence of a commitment to continuous learning and professional development or a care coordinator looking to take a step into a manager role
10. Good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a registered manager with an excellent track record with Care Inspectorate reports
11. SSSC Registration is essential with working knowledge of the SSSC Codes of Practice. Demonstrated experience in holistic assessment of need, support and risk, and multi-agency casework planning
12. Experience in working with clients and families with an understanding of risk factors and safeguarding concerns to vulnerable adults and children
13. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods
14. Adult and Children management experience is preferable
15. Driving license
