This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, giving you the flexibility to work from home and in the office. As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a key role in managing our accounts payable function, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the department. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. Supervise and support the accounts payable team, providing guidance and training where necessary. Review and approve payment runs, ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls. Manage relationships with suppliers, addressing any queries and resolving issues promptly. Reconcile supplier statements and ensure any discrepancies are investigated and resolved. Prepare and review month-end reports and analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting. Ensure all relevant tax and VAT treatments are applied correctly to supplier invoices. Assist in streamlining processes and driving efficiency within the accounts payable function. Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and finance, to ensure smooth operations and accurate reporting. Ad-hoc reporting and support as required by senior management. Key Requirements: Proven experience in an accounts payable or finance role, with prior management or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, systems, and best practices. Proficiency in accounting software (experience with [specific software] would be an advantage). Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive and able to drive process improvements. AAT or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
