We have a new opportunity to join our esteemed Private Wealth team in Newcastle or Bristol. Working as part of our Tax/Trust Accounting team as a Tax Assistant, you'll take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, preparing personal and trustees' tax returns.
The team
Our Private Wealth team is a collaboration of lawyers, accountants, financial advisors, and tax specialists. Their expertise is highly regarded and ensures that our clients' wealth is protected, now and for future generations. For law firms, this is a pretty unique setup which allows us to offer our clients the very best full-service advice possible.
The role
You'll be preparing tax returns for review, dealing with the day-to-day affairs of your client portfolio, ensuring that engagement letters are in place for clients, and that fees are agreed and billed accordingly. Your client list will include personal, trusts, and estates tax returns. You'll also assist other members of the team in the overall management of client affairs. Experience of trusts and Inheritance Tax is desirable but not essential.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you'll need as a minimum;
* Experience of working within a personal tax environment
* Experience of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
* A relevant professional qualification such as ATT
