Responsibilities: Being a Care Professional is an essential role supporting older people to live well at home. With the support of our team and industry leading training, you can feel fully equipped to deliver the high-quality care Home Instead has become known for. Here’s what you could be doing: • Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit • Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework • Accompanying to appointments or shopping therefore a driving licence and use of suitable transport is essential • Personal care - supporting some of our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent • Supporting some clients with dementia and reminding some to take medication
Qualifications
No qualifications required however experience of caring for a friend or family member is a distinct advantage.
Due to the community nature of the role it is important that you have access to your own vehicle
All initial training provided to UK Care Certificate standard
On going training, support to obtain development and qualifications including QCF2 / 3 : salary banding increases accordingly.
