An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Ashford, Tenterden and Whitfield Agency based out of either our Ashford or Tenterden office.
About the role:
You will be responsible for developing and delivering a marketing plan that aligns with the agency's business goals, driving new business, increasing existing customer value and customer retention. In addition, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and developing a high-performing business development team, ensuring we consistently meet and exceed our sales and customer experience objectives.
1. Lead, engage, and motivate a high-performance business development team, setting clear goals and expectations while supporting their ongoing professional development.
2. Oversee and manage the agency sales pipeline, collaborating with the sales team to ensure strong customer touchpoints and a healthy pipeline that drives new business opportunities.
3. Ensure the pipeline is being maximised, optimising conversion rates and enhancing customer experience at every stage.
4. Lead the development of a SMART marketing strategy that is closely aligned with the agency's objectives, ensuring financial targets and business goals are met.
5. Drive execution of the marketing plan, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
6. Develop and execute an innovative social media strategy across platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn enhancing the agency's digital footprint and engagement.
7. Identify and manage key print advertising opportunities with relevant publications, ensuring effective design and placement to boost brand awareness.
8. Manage and deliver key promotional events and campaigns, including cinema, radio, and other media partnerships, ensuring they align with the overall brand strategy.
9. Lead PR initiatives, fostering relationships with media outlets and community partners to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR), sponsorships, and other key external initiatives.
About you
- Marketing qualification and/or proven experience in a multi-disciplined marketing role, ideally within a regulated sector such as financial services.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, with strong people management and development skills.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills. Good use of English for writing copy.
- Strong experience in using digital platforms and tools, including CRM, social media management systems (e.g. Orlo), and Microsoft Office, and the ability to effectively use NFU Mutual systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in print advertising, event management, and digital marketing strategy.
- Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Great team working and ability to build effective relationships through positive behaviours, honesty and integrity.
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and compliance with procedures/regulations using due care, skill and diligence.
- Own transport & full UK driving licence.
