Vacancy: Contracts and Construction Manager Location: Clitheroe (UK) Job Family: Maintenance As a Contracts and Construction Manager, you will manage all aspects of facilities maintenance and construction supervision at the Clitheroe site. Your responsibilities: Lead a team of technical specialists to deliver facility maintenance and construction activities on the Clitheroe site. Oversee the scheduling of external contractors engaged in both preventative and reactive facilities maintenance works and capital projects installations. Manage Permit to Works for contractors including the review of contractor documentation, RAMS and certification. Maintain the site facilities asset register on SAP-PM, ensuring records are up to date and compliance information is stored appropriately. Develop and implement the planned preventative maintenance programme on building systems and general facilities to maintain maximum service levels to site. Oversee the 3rd party provision of all site soft services including site cleaning, waste disposal, passenger / goods lifts and canteen provisions. Manage the budget for all aspects of site facility maintenance and improvements activities. Create and maintain a facility investment plan to map the sites capex requirements for a 3-to-5-year horizon, taking into account the outputs from external inspections, internal condition assessments and reports, legislative changes and company strategy. Scope: This role will manage a team of staff technical specialists and contracts with 3rd party suppliers. Requirements for the role: Strong people management and planning skills. Experience supervising 3rd party contractors in a regulated environment (e.g. COMAH, Chemical, Oil & Gas). Knowledge of formal permit-to-work systems, including lock-out/tag-out. High level of health and safety awareness in industrial settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and industry-standard software. The role requires strong analytical thinking, a commitment to high standards, thoroughness, and a proactive approach, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing needs.
