This is a high-visibility role where you’ll be at the heart of financial reporting and compliance. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, drive process improvements, and contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations.
Location:Basingstoke, hybrid
What You’ll Do:
* Own the Financial Close Process – Manage the monthly financial reporting cycle, including preparing and reviewing key reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the UK Financial Controller.
* Oversee Payments & Revenue – Review and authorise supplier payments, customer remittances, and monthly revenue processing to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
* Support & Mentor the Team – Guide and review work from junior team members, ensuring high-quality outputs and providing training where needed.
* Enhance Financial Controls – Assist the Senior Financial Controller to drive improvements in compliance, efficiency, and internal controls across financial processes.
* Engage in International Operations – Liaise with global finance specialists on statutory requirements and coordinate international audits.
* Manage Tax & Compliance – Assist in the preparation of PAYE and VAT returns and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Lead Key Projects – Drive strategic finance initiatives, whether from a technical accounting perspective or to optimise processes and align with Group Finance.
What You’ll Bring:
* Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant – ACA or ACCA preferred, ideally with experience in practice.
* Analytical Expertise – Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse financial data effectively.
* Technical Proficiency – Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and V-lookups, with a solid academic background (2:1 degree or higher).
* Strategic Thinking – Comfortable working in a structured corporate environment, ensuring adherence to governance policies and procedures.
* Collaborative Mindset – Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with team members across different departments and international teams.
* Proactive & Organised – A professional approach with a drive to improve processes and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
