This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s national accreditation body as part of our Executive Team.
Driving growth across our Accreditation, Training and Advisory Services, this director-level role reports to the CEO and is instrumental to the long-term success of UKAS.
The successful candidate will develop and deliver the commercial strategy for UKAS, taking the lead for business development, key account management, marketing and customer relationships across the conformity assessment sector.
To be a success in this role you will have experience of:
* Developing, implementing and managing a commercial growth strategy within the TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) sector.
* A passion for people management; managing multidisciplinary teams across Marketing, Sales and Training delivery.
* Working as part of our Executive Management Team, managing the needs and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
The key responsibilities of this leadership position include:
* Setting the strategic direction and objectives for the Commercial Team to ensure the delivery of targets.
* Identifying, securing and improving market share and developing suitable go-to-market plans for new services.
* Defining, developing and embedding a sales strategy.
* Supporting the broader marketing goals of organisations such as EA/IAF/ILAC for the promotion of accreditation in the UK and globally.
* Working with the Executive and Senior Management Team across the organisation, with a particular focus on quality, customer service and pricing.
* Creating clear objectives and managing performance for Sales, Marketing, Training and Advisory team members.
While the role is remote based, there is an expectation of attending the UKAS head office, and other locations, to meet and liaise with colleagues across the business as well as external stakeholders as required. Consequently, a reasonable level of travel and nights away are to be expected.
