The successful candidate will have the attributes needed to undertake the range of duties associated with the post, including:
• Self-motivation and the ability to take the initiative to deal with problems as they arise
• Excellent practical skills and a pride in their work
• Good skills in working with both adults and children
• An awareness and understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Excellent organisational skills
• A flexible approach to working hours
• To attend as required, the opening and closing of the premises at designated times and be responsible for general security at all times
• School caretakers may be called out during unsociable hours or at weekends to deal with security problems, and allow access for emergency repairs
