Role Overview:
As a Data Analyst you will work closely with various teams within the business, including service teams, operations and IT to design and implement data solutions that leverage existing technologies such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Private Capital Suite, and Tableau. The role will also focus on improving data architecture and developing a strategic roadmap for integrating open-source data solutions, including data lakes and API-driven analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Data Reporting & Analytics:
* Develop and maintain data reporting capabilities for both clients and their underlying investors using Tableau and other reporting tools
* Design custom dashboards, visualisations, and reports to enhance insights for stakeholders
* Work with the Private Capital Suite fund accounting platform and its GP/LP portal to integrate data reporting with internal and external platforms
Process Development and Improvement:
* Collaborate with business teams to identify process inefficiencies and develop solutions using SharePoint, Power Apps, and related technologies
* Leverage automation within manual processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall client experience
Data Architecture & Strategy:
* Assist with the review and assessment of the current data architecture of the business, identifying opportunities for optimisation and standardisation
* Assist with the development of a strategic roadmap for the adoption of open-source data platforms (e.g., data lakes) to support scalable, long-term data storage and retrieval solutions
* Assist with the development of API-driven approaches to enable seamless data interrogation and integration with external systems
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
* Liaise with internal teams to help gather requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions
* Engage with IT/external vendors to ensure the efficient integration of new data platforms and technologies
* Help to provide training and support to internal users to increase the adoption and effective use of data tools and solutions
Skills and Experience
Technical Expertise:
* Proficiency in SharePoint, Power Apps, and Tableau for data analysis, reporting, and automation
* Understanding of data architecture principles and experience designing or optimising data infrastructure
* Help to provide training and support to internal users to increase the adoption and effective use of data tools and solutions
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SQL or other query languages
Analytical & Problem Solving Skills:
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement creative solutions for business challenges
Stakeholder Management:
* Good communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and working in a client-facing environment
* Ability to prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications/Personal Attributions:
* Relevant qualification in field(s) of Data Science and/or Information Technology
* Knowledge of open-source technologies and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, AWS)
* A self-starter who can drive projects with limited management intervention
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
