The Role
We are excited to be growing our team with the addition of an account manager & trainer role to support our B2B customer base and public facing courses. We are searching for an experienced coffee obsessive who has a natural desire to make people feel welcomed and valued.
You will be tasked with working alongside new and existing wholesale partners to expand the reach of our brand and mission and to grow our sales and revenue in further support of our impact activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Obsess over customer satisfaction, highlighting opportunities to further our brand and reach to communicate our wider mission.
2. Help to drive growth within our existing customer base through sales of new products/cross-selling.
3. Proactively respond to inbound customer enquiries, maintaining our customer journey and utilising our internal systems and processes.
4. Delivering high quality training to our wholesale partners and home barista enthusiasts primarily from our state of the art training hub but occasionally off site too.
5. Work effectively and collaboratively with our Marketing, Roastery Ops team and Coffee Program Manager.
6. Maintain relationships with key suppliers, keeping abreast of new equipment releases and industry trends and developments.
7. Represent North Star at industry events throughout the year.
Requirements
1. 2+ years experience in relationship management in coffee with a proven record of success.
2. Experience as a barista.
3. Training experience (from a supervisory/management role or SCA pathway).
4. A full clean UK driving licence.
5. Commitment to working 1 Saturday/month.
6. A love for coffee and a passion to do good in the world.
7. Exceptional oral and written English communication skills, proficiency with technology.
8. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
9. Ability to carry out occasional weekend/evening work for which time will be given back in lieu.
10. Ability to manage your own workload/schedule, be trustworthy and honest.
11. Self awareness placing importance on personal integrity.
12. Be genuinely kind and thoughtful with a can-do attitude.
13. Energetic, personable, and outgoing.
14. Obsessive attention to detail, an eye for creativity and the skill to jump between projects quickly and efficiently.
15. You have a growth mindset, you own your mistakes and look for opportunities to learn wherever possible.
