About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting, you will play a key role in supporting students with their learning, ensuring they stay engaged and make progress across the curriculum. Working closely with the classroom teacher, you will provide one-on-one and small group assistance, helping students to achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (Secondary):
* Provide direct support to students to help them achieve academic success.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning programmes that meet students’ individual needs.
* Support classroom management by keeping students engaged and focused on tasks.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement effective interventions.
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with secondary aged students, is essential.
* A strong passion for working with secondary-aged students and helping them succeed.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
