Job Purpose
To carry out engineering critical assessments (ECA) of subsea pipelines, ensuring accordance with the industry codes and standards, and client's specifications.
Job Description
* Carrying out ECA tasks and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of deliverables
* Provide ECA support to concept studies, tendering, and projects
* Performing checking of analysis work of peer ECA analysts
* Clearly communicating with internal and external stakeholders via technical reports and presentations
* Developing and standardizing engineering tools and methods
Skills
Essential
* Degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline
* Sound knowledge of fracture mechanics. Expertise in understanding and analyzing crack propagation
* Knowledge of material properties, including tensile strength, toughness, and resistance to environmental degradation
* Experience as a ECA engineer with a documented history of fracture and fatigue assessment of welded structures
* Proficiency in industry tools and software for fracture and fatigue assessment
Desirable
* Postgraduate degree in fracture mechanics
* Basic understanding of non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques
* Proficiency in Abaqus 3D finite-element (FE) modeling and analysis
* Proficiency in Python programming
* Knowledge of statistics

* Deep understanding of engineering principles, materials science, fracture mechanics, and fatigue
* Familiarity with industry integrity assessment codes
* Proven ability to address and solve challenging technical engineering problems
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly
* Open and honest regarding progress and challenges
Desirable
* Skills in planning, executing, and overseeing engineering tasks, and supervising engineers
* Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
* Familiarity with subsea pipeline engineering codes
