Senior Facilities Executive - Hard Services CRE Specialist 2 Your team Reporting directly to the Retail Facilities Manager, the Senior Facilities Executive for “Hard Services” will play a meaningful role in supporting our retail colleagues across the UK and Ireland. With an estate of over 550 shops, this newly created role will work within the wider Retail Facilities Team. We are looking for an experienced Senior Facilities Executive with a hard services background to join our team. This role will provide executive-level support to the facilities manager, facilities team, retail colleagues, and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth and efficient services are delivered across our estate. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, able to prioritise workload and keep up with change. They must have a flexible approach to their role, able to work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate can be based anywhere in the UK or Ireland, as the role offers hybrid working, but with the essential requirement to visit shops frequently throughout the UK and Ireland. What you’ll do Internal & external stakeholders, you’ll be the point of contact for executive-level support and escalations. Responsible for day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance contracts across a wide range of disciplines, to include but not limited to, Roofs, Shutters, Doors, Electrical & Data, Glazing, Flooring, Lighting, Fire Detection and Suppression, Lifts, Plumbing, Drainage, Compartmentation, Water Testing, Asbestos, and HVAC. You’ll oversee service partner and contractor performance, ensuring MI reports, SLAs, and KPIs are delivered in line with contractual requirements. You’ll analyse reporting data, identify trends, drive improvement behaviours and strategies. Support the preparation of budgets, track expenditures, and manage cost-effective strategies for facility-related services. Provide high-level executive assistance to the Facilities Manager and senior leadership, including report preparation. Review quotations, negotiate for best value and instruct works. Conduct premise inspections for maintenance works and assess quality assurance around completed works. Assist the Facilities Manager with tender exercises related to reactive and planned services. Support the Facilities Manager with the mobilisation of new contracts and changes in service providers. During periods of absence, provide cover for the UK/IRL Facilities Manager. How you’ll do it Exceptional communication and influencing skills. Degree or diploma in maintenance, construction, or a relevant industry-recognized qualification. In-depth knowledge of facilities management and health and safety regulations. Proven record of managing service partners and contractors. Working knowledge and experience in producing tender documentation, including specifications, pricing, rate cards, SLAs, and KPIs. Experience in cost control, budget preparation, forecasting and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software (Excel, mid-advanced level is desired). ISOH or NEBOSH certification preferred.
