Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage subcontractors' work, ensuring they complete tasks according to design specifications, construction standards, and project timelines.
2. Strictly monitor the site team’s health and safety management, ensuring all personnel follow safe working procedures.
3. Work closely with operational planners to ensure work plans are reasonable and ensure tasks are assigned to the appropriate subcontractors or employees.
4. Conduct regular quality checks, promptly identifying and resolving any quality issues to ensure compliance with standards.
5. Maintain relationships with subcontractors, ensuring their work quality and performance meet contractual requirements.
6. Record and report construction progress, providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders, and addressing any delays or risks promptly.
7. Provide support, training, and guidance to directly employed staff and subcontractor employees, ensuring smooth onboarding for new hires.
8. Execute work in strict accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring tasks are carried out in an organised manner.
9. Regularly monitor materials and labour costs, taking proactive measures to ensure the project stays within budget if potential cost overruns are identified.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Educational Background: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Work Experience: Proven supervisory experience in the construction industry, with expertise in health and safety management, quality control, and progress reporting.
3. Team Collaboration: Excellent team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
4. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey clear and effective messages to team members, project managers, and clients.
5. Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, ensuring that all construction work adheres to quality and safety standards.
7. Leadership and Initiative: Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to delegate tasks effectively and guide teams, ensuring projects are successfully completed on time.
