Fire Consultant required to join a renowned global multidisciplinary to support them with projects local to the area across a variety of sectors.
The Fire Consultant
The Fire Consultant will carry out fire risk assessments across residential, healthcare, custodial, education and commercial properties, alongside fire surveys and compartmentation surveys to identify any non-compliance.
FRA Responsibilities:
1. To undertake fire integrity / compartmentation surveys to identify breaches, proposed remedial repairs through to preparation of specification and design.
2. To provide quality & technical monitoring on construction projects.
3. To provide fire safety advisor role to assist our clients with their property portfolio.
4. Ideally have good knowledge of Approved Document B, Health Technical Memorandum 05-02, Building Bulletins, relevant British Standards.
5. To review contractors' proposals on construction projects and provide comment on suitability for the intended purpose.
6. Assist with delivery of projects.
7. Ensure a high level of communication and time keeping throughout.
Fire Risk Assessor Qualifications and Experience:
1. Level 3 Fire Safety Qualification minimum.
2. Experience of undertaking/reviewing Fire Risk Assessments.
3. Knowledge of current and incoming UK fire safety legislation.
