As our Head of HSEQ, you'll be at the heart of our mission to cultivate a Zero Harm Mindset, guiding our leadership teams and influencing safety culture across Sodexo Live UK.Reporting directly to the Director of Operational Performance, you'll lead strategic initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide expert advice on food safety, fire safety, employee wellbeing, and risk management. What you'll do: Provide expert HSEQ, food safety, fire safety, and employee wellbeing guidance, reporting monthly to the segment Board with actionable insights and management information. Develop and deliver the strategic HSEQ plan to meet Sodexo Live targets, influencing senior leadership to enhance safety culture and performance. Represent Sodexo Live in regional, global, and external HSEQ communities, supporting the UK&I HSE professional network. Oversee incident management, reviewing serious accidents, regulatory interventions, and escalating regional/global cases as required. Ensure compliance by managing regulatory activity, safety alerts, product recalls, and legal reporting through internal systems. Validate and oversee safety audits, implement standard operating processes, and provide risk analysis for business development opportunities. Lead the Risk Management Committee, monitor the Risk Register, and ensure up-to-date Business Continuity Plans with regular testing. Promote a positive safety culture, assess safety maturity annually, and guide career development within the safety advisor community. Chartered HSEQ professional or relevant level 6 qualification (i.e. NEBOSH Diploma) Food safety essential Environmental management experience desired Experience in risk management and business continuity planning. Internal management system auditing qualification or experience to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Experience of managing a team, strong leadership skills A team player, self-starter and can-do attitude Strong time management and organisational skills Articulate and able to confidently present to all levels of management and colleagues Effective influencing skills and stakeholder management Project management and risk management skills Proficient in Microsoft office applications What we offer: You will be rewarded with a salary of £64,500pa - £85,700pa and access to a range of benefits, including a performance-related bonus, employer pension contribution, and life assurance – 1 x annual salary.
