Architectural Technologist or Technical/BIM Architect
Salary: £40k - £50k+ based on experience.
Full-time (hybrid) Permanent
Location: North London, England, United Kingdom
An established multidisciplinary practice offering consulting, design, engineering, management, and construction services has a newly formed position within their Architectural team for a Technologist or Architect with BIM/Technical strengths.
They are a friendly, enthusiastic, and highly collaborative Design & Construction company who specialise in the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Laboratory, and Manufacturing (GMP) sectors. With a high-profile portfolio of projects that are complex and highly serviced, usually in the UK with occasional overseas exceptions.
With an in-house technical, design, engineering, procurement, project management, and construction team who collaborate, it allows the practice to independently take projects from start through to completion.
This is a great opportunity for someone with specialist experience looking to progress and become an integral part of an expanding team. You will have the chance to help develop a business while gaining more responsibilities to progress within the architectural department.
Your technical expertise will be crucial in delivering exceptional results, and your architectural experience will be valued over specific software knowledge.
The Role:
Will involve working across RIBA stages, with a key focus on actively supporting the BIM Manager with technical work.
- Working in Revit and producing technical and construction details.
- Assisting the Architectural team with Revit and BIM-based project tasks and coordination.
- Opportunity to take ownership and act as a lead on projects.
Ideal Experience & Skills:
- Qualified Architect or Technologist with 5+ years of professional experience working in the UK and practical industry experience with Revit and BIM.
- Excellent technical skills with demonstrable experience in highly serviced, complex projects.
- Strong understanding of planning and building control requirements.
- Ability and flexibility to work across multiple projects to achieve set deadlines.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with the required software.
- Friendly and conscientious, with strong spoken and written communication skills.
Essential Software: Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp
Desirable Software: Navisworks, InDesign, Photoshop, 3D Studio or similar.
