Due to career growth of colleagues, we are looking for a new Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Wellbeing team in Merton Talking Therapies as the service moves forward with the ambition to place co-production with local communities at the heart of our service.
The Wellbeing Team undertakes targeted work to connect and partner with a range of groups and communities who have not traditionally accessed Talking Therapies. We are an enthusiastic, creative and supportive team that thrives on collaboration and finding solutions to barriers.
The post holder will support individuals to access and engage with talking therapies through the delivery of co-production, group workshop delivery and inclusive conversations in community settings. You will be using co-production and a strength-based approach to empower and motivate those who access our services in partnership with our partners: Wimbledon Guild, Focus-4-1 and Polish Family Association.
Successful applicants will be passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of individuals as well as the wider community. You will be skilled in engaging a variety of stakeholders and be able to positively challenge stigma and discrimination using your excellent communication skills. You will have experience working directly with people in a health or social care setting and ideally have experience offering health information to groups or individuals.

To create and facilitate or co-facilitate wellbeing interventions ( e.g 1 hr workshops) in a group or individual basis, arranging sessions, collating materials and resources as required
To develop strong links with established agencies, community organisations and forums to raise awareness and build trust in our Talking Therapies.
To raise awareness of wellbeing and mental health across the borough, challenging stigma and discrimination
To support the marketing of the wellbeing and talking therapy teams through drop ins, social media content design and research to encourage local engagement with the service
