Manager FS Forensic FDA
Summary of Role Purpose:
KPMG’s FS Forensic Financial Services practice is a key contributor to the Firm’s strategic growth initiatives. We have achieved rapid year-on-year growth since the team’s inception and have set ourselves ambitious targets to maintain the momentum. We possess a strong pipeline of work for the year ahead and continue to develop innovative market-leading solutions for our clients. We now need an experienced and dependable Assistant Manager to assist in converting the existing pipeline, expand it with our current offerings and to develop our technology propositions.
Assistant Managers are responsible managing the delivery of a range of financial crime projects. The team assists clients to assess, assure, review, test and improve their financial crime systems whilst using innovative Data Analytics tools and approaches. They will be expected to collaborate across FS Consulting to deliver the best solutions for our clients.
An Assistant Manager who is a Technology SME is required to utilise knowledge and expertise to support the delivery of a range of financial crime projects with a particular focus on financial crime review, audit, assurance and advisory orientated engagements. Projects will be varied in nature and will include work to help clients design their approach to assurance as well as executing framework wide or thematic reviews.
Description of the role:
As part of our Forensic team focussing on Technology, you can expect to be responsible for the following deliverables:
1. Combine technical financial crime knowledge (across transaction and fraud monitoring, transaction and customer screening and customer due diligence) and data analytics knowledge to deliver projects to a high standard.
2. Leveraging your technical knowledge, experience and contacts to contribute to the development of proposals and in generating new business for the firm.
3. Managing and mentoring Technology Analysts from diverse backgrounds during projects.
4. Maintain awareness of regulatory risk / landscape and use this awareness to flag issues of importance to the operation.
5. Developing financial crime policies and procedures.
6. Contribution to or development of proposals and propositions for internal or external clients.
The candidate should expect to work on a variety of project-based work over a cross-section of Financial Services industries and geographies.
Role dimensions:
Leadership and Management – Assistant Managers can typically expect to be responsible for their own work streams within broader client engagements and be responsible for the planning, delivery and risk management for their scope of work. They will also be expected to play a significant role in the development and maintenance of the Technology capability and community within the practice.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance – Assistant Managers are responsible for the successful delivery and quality standards of their work. Every engagement will have a senior KPMG engagement leader to oversee the work, where Assistant Managers are expected to work with Managers or Senior Managers to escalate key delivery risks and ensure regular status updates and quality management reviews are held.

7. Tenacious problem-solving attitude: the ability to identify and fix issues before they become critical.
8. Financial Crime Knowledge: Using your existing Financial Crime knowledge and experience to design and carry out end to end testing of Financial crime systems. These systems can include screening, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence and fraud detection.
9. Risk Management: Experience in assisting with scoping, adherence to risk and management standards, internal financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables.
10. Data: Ensuring teams can balance and manage data analysis of large volumes of data, structured and unstructured, utilising a wide range of database management systems, reporting systems and visualisation software.
11. Project Management and Delivery: Balancing quality of service, project planning and costs when delivering a project.
12. Business Development: Participating in business development initiatives, including bid proposal and contract/proposition development.
13. Report Writing: Responsible for the production and review of client deliverables.
14. Quality Control: Maintain high working professional standards and provide high-level quality control feedback and reviews of your team’s work.
15. Proactive individual who can work with different stakeholders and adapt well to changing deadlines.
16. An enthusiasm to get involved in marketing activity and in developing the Forensic practice.

19. Developing the FS Forensic proposition in line with the market expectations.
20. Delivering projects to a high standard by using technical financial crime knowledge (across transaction and fraud monitoring, transaction and customer screening and customer due diligence) and data analytics experience.

22. Building and maintaining internal and external relationships to bolster sale of FS Forensic services.

26. Actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as leading sales activities such as client and engagement risk management, proposal writing and leading client presentations.
