Job Purpose
The role will have full responsibility for the current and future European, UK and RoW product portfolio, centred on our WES3 wireless fire solution. All aspects of product management are covered by this role including product strategy, lifecycle, voice of customer collection, feature roadmaps, budgets and profit and loss responsibilities for the WES3 portfolio.
The role has a significant commercial responsibility and will identify and deliver growth opportunities for the WES3 product, alongside our sales teams. It will also cover the development of future products from route to market and product positioning.
The role will from part of the Senior Management team and will liaise closely with all members of the Strategic Marketing Team, as well as all departments across the business, primarily sales, marketing and customer experience.
Functional Management Accountabilities
* Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across all areas of the business to help deliver the Ramtech Vision.
* Contribute to the progress of the Company by actively working towards personal and company operational plans.
* Develop and maintain relationships within the strategic marketing team and across the business, as appropriate, in the pursuit of Ramtech’s vision.
* Develop and maintain relationships with external customers and suppliers, as appropriate, in the pursuit of Ramtech’s vision.
Functional Accountabilities
* Defining, managing and communicating the Product Life Cycle (PLC) from introduction, through to maturity and end-of-life / obsolescence
* Identifying Customer Use Cases within target verticals, and defining opportunities for Ramtech to support those customers using innovative wireless technologies
* Gathering and presenting accurate data regarding sales, profitability, customer and product.
* Understanding industry standards, legislation and certification requirements that impact our product portfolio, and identifying changes, improvements or NPD required to maintain or enhance our competitive position
* Working closely with the Marketing team to generate value propositions / USPs, inform marketing briefs, and develop comms strategy for new and existing products
* Supporting sales teams, internal teams, customers and partners with product training and product support for new products, revisions or updates
Skills / Experience
* University degree in relevant subject area, engineering or technical degree highly preferred
* 5-8 years of experience in Product Management, Technical, or Sales functions within Construction, Fire Safety or Wireless Technologies
* Strong technical aptitude with ability to develop working knowledge of industry standards and certification.
* Experience working with partner channels and multiple paths to market
* Understanding of product development and demonstrated execution from Voice of Customer to NPD launch
* Experience of wireless technologies and Atlassian suite of tools an advantage
