We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our company and work in the Engineering team based at our Neale Road site in DN2. Prioritise own workload (as well as being directed by the TL), and react to urgent business needs BE involved in continuous improvement principles and methodologies, to implement new/improved operational practices. Liaise regularly with other internal/external departments to ensure the achievement of high levels of customer satisfaction and the effective management of customer expectations. To promote the Company and department in a professional and positive manner. Responsible for the safety of own activity, and those working in your team Assist in PM schedule management and review, BD/reactive work order management, critical and non-critical spares management. Effective and timely communication in both verbal and written form Deliver effective inhouse team activities – Housekeeping, PPM records keeping (IFS) all required safety documentation completion (SISI/5S/SSW/PTW etc.), general shift paperwork, Effective shift handover documentation, involvement in team meetings, tool box talks and one point lesson delivery. Requirements: Strong engineering background, ideally apprentice served multiskilled Engineer, educated to at least NVQ 3/ONC level in Mechanical or Electrical discipline (demonstration of Multiskilling training also required to support core skill) Strong experience of working within a CMMS system. Executing, reviewing, writing and amending TPM routines. Strong Digital skills required (Microsoft packages bespoke industrial tools – PLC/Industrial interface programs) Ideally have extensive knowledge and technical experience gained within a continuous production environment. Significant experience assisting in delivering continuous improvement programmes. Ability to demonstrate delivery of small-scale improvement or equipment overhaul projects Knowledge of H&S requirements associate with engineering activity (PUWER/COSHH/ etc) Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to make decisions on own initiative as required. Reliable and trustworthy, holding very high personal standards in regards own output. Ability to communicate at all levels. Demonstrate a willingness to develop own skills to keep pace with ever changing technological advancements, and be able to effectively coach/mentor and train others in own team a ‘Can Do’ approach is essential. Have a highly collaborative style and able to thrive in a team environment Desired, but not essential - experience within a plastics production environment. Ideally will have experience of delivering a world class maintenance system within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
