We are looking for a Logistics Operations Officer for a 12-Month contract based in Derby (3 days on-site, 2 days remote working) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
As a Logistics Operations Officer you will be supporting the project to operate and improve the services within a warehousing setting supporting logistics operations, working with logistics providers where appropriate, to ensure full compliance to all procedures and processes that support Export Control, Customs/Tax, Airworthiness, Quality, HSE, Inventory Control, Distribution and ERP.
As a Logistics Operations Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
Developing and communicating compliance requirements within Logistics with logistics service providers.
Develop and implement performance metrics & report on process performance using monitors and statistics as appropriate.
Continuously improve the performance of processes to ensure compliance through standardised processes using IT to provide consistent data transfer to interfacing systems.
Manage 3PL services to ensure they are compliant and measure performance against these.
Be the subject matter expert within Logistics for all supporting processes.
What we require from a Logistics Operations Officer:
Has experience working in a similar logistics operations role.
Has a strong understanding of warehousing/3PL environment.
Experience of Coupa, Advanced Excel and SAP.
Ability to query and investigate invoices.
Ability to prepare inventory reports.
Strong communication skills; can follow processes and can identify operational improvements.
