About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing and friendly team at Niftylift, one of the world's leading manufacturers of mobile elevated work platforms. The Quality Assurance & Control Technician will provide quality control support to manufacturing areas and conduct inspections to control, monitor, and ensure build integrity. They will collect and process measurement data, develop and maintain quality control documentation, facilitate root cause analysis and the structured implementation of preventative solutions for quality concerns affecting the production cells. This is a permanent, full-time role where ongoing progression is encouraged. As well as a competitive pay rate, regular overtime is available and paid at an enhanced rate, and a monthly bonus is guaranteed at a minimum of £50 per week when all qualifying criteria are met. Inspect, measure, and investigate any non-conforming parts including rejects. Raise QN/QR quality concerns. Raise NLY & Process including IQN. Manage reduction of line quality-related KPI's (QR/QN, FDF, IQN, NLY, CFB, PDI). Control supplier returns & quarantine. Support stakeholder meetings. Maintain iAuditor in process inspection structure. Handle customer feedback checks. Carry out stock checks for quality-related issues. Containment of all line quality issues until proven prevention is in place. Ensure stock accuracy of quality locations. Provide hands-on calibration checks for allocated areas. Qualifications & Experience: Experience in engineering / manufacturing practices; Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and structural fabrication / welding. Accredited inspector qualification, e.g. PCN level 1 for welding inspection. Ability to use measuring equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Computer literate ( including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (essential) and Access (desirable)). Experience/knowledge of the assembly of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. ONC or equivalent qualification. Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008/ 2015). Experience using a production manufacturing system (SAP, Visual). Knowledge and ability to carry out machine weight testing and PDI (Pre-delivery inspection of machines) would be an advantage. Characteristics: Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels, including presentation skills (verbal & written). A positive can-do attitude to problem-solving, developing systems, and improving business performance. Ability to promote a team working culture and demonstrate team ethics. Demonstrate a methodical approach to tasks, adherence to procedures and auditing of processes. Working Hours & Salary: Working hours for the role are 08.00 - 16.30 (Monday - Friday) with regular structured overtime in line with the needs of the business. OTE's for this role are between £32,700 and £40,000 per annum (breakdown below). Guaranteed basic starting salary of £14.50 per hour x 40 basic hours per week PLUS a guaranteed minimum of £50 per week bonus and regular, structured overtime paid at premium rates (x1.5). The successful applicant must be flexible to travel between and work at either of the Milton Keynes sites as and when required.
