Allstaff Manufacturing Division seek a Quality Manager for our well established manufacturing client based in Renfrewshire.
Role Purpose:
Being part of the management team, the Quality Manager is to be responsible for ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
This will require:
* A proactive approach & the integrity of quality assurance,
* Problem-solving & audit of all internally produced products to technical specifications
* Meeting the defined quality standards & systems required.

You will play a key role in the management of the assigned Quality Team, with safety first, “best in class” expertise & providing an environment that supports continuous improvement to ensure that manufacturing & sustainability ambitions are achieved. This role will be fundamental in implementing proactive Quality Risk Reduction and developing Quality Culture & Performance.
This role will require close collaboration with the H & S, Environment, production operations, engineering, technical teams, associated quality & laboratory functions, sales & account management teams to ensure the delivery of a robust quality management system.
Key Accountabilities:
o Being an advocate for strong H & S practices and aiding the development of H & S Culture
o Actively leading Quality culture maturity, via a measured programme
o Based at a site in Renfrewshire, supporting a both Glasgow and Paisley sites to progress Quality Improvements.
o Creating a proactive culture within Quality that is data driven, with priorities understood
o Actively leading to ensure Quality KPI’s (while developing these metrics) are met and support other functional KPI’s are required.
o Ensure that company procedures & processes are adhered to & improved upon in line with requirements for IATF16949, AS9100, ISO9001 or others as defined by the business.
o Quality Control Management including (but not exclusively): product compliance & verification against internal & customer specifications (haptic, optic & technical specifications), confirmation of product & process controls, colour confirmation, consistent application of quality management protocols & development thereof, quality performance statistical data analysis, management of corrective actions (5Why's, Global 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA), delivery of PPAP/PSW approvals of all products.
o Management & allocation of appropriate Quality resource both proactive (continuous improvement) & reactive (containment).
o Management & reporting to Business stakeholders on Quality performance through data analysis (Statistical analysis, PowerBI).
o Responsible for data gathering & analysis, problem solving, project management & delivering meaningful & relevant presentation events.
o Effectively uses external networks to identify best quality practices & use this to drive improvements within all operations.
o Presents, facilitates & co-ordinates assigned Quality events.
o Training - Development & PDR management of Quality team members.
o Communicate internally & externally on quality performance.
o Ensuring Environmental & employee Wellbeing is achieved.
o Compliance with all legal & statutory requirements pertaining to Quality.
o Work across functions to ensure Quality performance.
o Delivery of a robust Quality Management System within production operations.
o Management & development of the Quality team (Quality Improvement leader, Quality Engineer & Technicians)
o Role model leadership behaviours which promotes excellence & shapes the company culture.
o Promote employee engagement through timely two-way communications regarding quality activities & initiatives.
o Progression of a succession & personnel development plan for Quality.
o Adjudge internal & external risk factors (product / processes / practices).
o Management of change.

Experience Desired:
o A degree in a related discipline.
o Communication – clear, concise and confident.
o Leadership – can engage stakeholders and demonstrates a passion for excellence.
o Previous experience of operating within a senior level Quality role within manufacturing.
o Experience with statistical analysis, work measurement & process analysis.
o Programme & project management skills.
o Experience of developing & implementing meaningful KPI’s, targeting key areas of improvement, enabling the ability to celebrate success.
o Experience of dealing with Customers & Suppliers.
o Quality Management experience - minimum 5 years
o Understanding of Power BI and be able to develop reports within.
