CSR Construction Production Manager CSR are working with a UK leading Specialsit Joinery and Fit Out Manufacturer who, due to recent award wins and upcoming major extension plans are looking for an experienced production manager to join their senior managment team. You will be responsible for the detailed planning and overall organisation of manufacturing in the workshop to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, unit costs and project requirements. This is a fast paced and dynamic environment, you must be both commercially and solutions focused with an ability to adapt and prioritise a complex workload. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Take receipt of works orders from in house Project Managers. Organise and communicate requirements and particulars of each Work order to Team lead in production readiness meeting. Monitor and ensure on time production through Machining, Assembly, Finishes and despatch using the company ERP scheduler and by carrying out physical checks on the floor. Attend weekly Production meeting with Colleagues and Directors. Attend daily morning SQPDC meetings and report any concerns to be contained an rectified. Control risk, encourage and deliver on a positive health and safety culture. Capture Non-Conformances and determine root causes and countermeasures using problem solving skills, Log Non-conformances into company ERP system Ensure Statutory H&S Checks are carried out on time, as per schedule and logged into IMS/ERP Ensure Safe Working Practices are upheld. Ensure operatives are trained for equipment and tasks and liaise with SHEQ department on training requirements. Monitor and Control stores and stock by liaising with the Buyer and Store person Ensure workshop cleanliness. Monitor & control annual leave requests using our annual leave system Carry out Return to work interviews with operatives returning Essential Criteria The successful candidate shall be able to demonstrate a proven track record of at least 3 years in: Effective communication skills with strong leadership in directing and motivating a production workforce Ability to use standard IT systems effectively such as Microsoft office and to comprehend manufacturing drawings and specification packages.
