Hybrid Recruit are actively recruiting for an experienced Mobile Hoist Engineer to work for a specialist hire company. The main job function of the Mobile Hoist Engineer is to provide engineering support for the workshop function.
Responsibilities of the Mobile Hoist Engineer:
1. Carry out pre-delivery inspections of vehicle mounted Power Access Platforms at the Depot.
2. Carry out LOLER inspections in compliance with the manufacturer's guidelines & regulations.
3. Investigate faults, diagnose, and repair platforms as required to ensure conformance with the company policy.
4. Ensure compliance with the manufacturer's guidelines, company policy, and any regulations affecting the safe operation.
5. Communicate effectively with the Senior Engineer or Operations Manager regarding any defects or unsafe equipment.
6. Correctly process all jobs on the works handheld tablet to include the allocation of labour time and any parts used, updating the status of all vehicles as appropriate.
7. Ensure efficient stock control processes are adhered to for all parts/consumables used.
Qualifications:
1. IPAF Competent Assessed Person (CAP) qualified.
2. Experience with mobile or vehicle mounted Power Access Platforms (MEWP) maintenance and inspection routines.
3. IPAF Operators License 1b.
4. Relevant general maintenance qualification and proven experience gained within the plant rental sector.
5. Experience in auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics/fault finding.
6. Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
7. Good interpersonal skills and an acute understanding of good customer service.
