Key Responsibilities
As a Sous Chef at Houston & Hawkes, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and in date, and preparing ingredients for menu items.
You will also be responsible for controlling and directing the food preparation process, ensuring the presentation of food meets the standards set by the Head Chef, and focusing on all customers, including guests, staff, and visitors.
Additionally, you will be responsible for meeting dietary and allergen requirements, demonstrating personal development, and working efficiently and competently under pressure.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a genuine passion for food, industry acumen, and knowledge of external catering developments and innovations.
You will also need excellent time management and organizational skills, a high level of self-motivation, and the ability to work efficiently and competently under pressure.
Furthermore, you will need 706/2 or NVQ chef qualifications, or equivalent, and honesty, transparency, and consistency.
You will also need to be computer literate and have a demonstrative customer focus and service skills.
