Our client is a leading custom design and manufacturing business that supplies products to a wide range of industries across the globe. With over 25 years of successful operation, they continue to grow and are now looking to recruit a Purchasing Administrator to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a steady and structured position, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of purchasing operations, confidently liaising with suppliers to track orders and deliveries. Main Responsibilities: Sending out enquiries for quotations and raising purchase orders. Placing orders in line with production and sales requirements. Chasing and checking purchase order acknowledgements. Creating and maintaining inventory and business partner data in the operating system. Loading production orders and ensuring timely supply chain management. Contacting suppliers to ensure deliveries are on schedule. Highlighting potential supply chain issues and working within ISO procedures. Supporting stock control, handling discrepancies, and assisting with stock takes. Assisting the department with related tasks and ad hoc duties. Skills & Experience: Solid administration background, ideally within purchasing or procurement. SAP experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Confident and proactive when following up on deliveries and orders over the phone. Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders and suppliers. Personable approach with excellent telephone and communication skills.
