Aspire people are looking for committed Behaviour Support Specialists, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pupils' behavioural and emotional needs. You will work closely with teaching staff and other support professionals to implement behaviour management strategies and provide targeted interventions. Your goal will be to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
* Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning activities and materials.
* Assist in the development of social skills and emotional resilience in pupils.
* Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
* Monitor and record pupils' progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the SENCO and other relevant staff.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is essential.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and interventions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging behaviour in a positive manner.
* Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
* A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
