The Directors of St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, and highly motivated Achievement Support Assistant (L2 TA) to work as part of the SEND team at St Mary’s College.
The successful candidates will work across KS3/KS4, providing appropriate support for pupils of all abilities. You will support teaching staff with the children’s social, emotional and academic progress, delivering interventions to enhance pupils learning and provide supervision and care of children at various times of the day.
Within this role you will utilise your knowledge of learning support, communication skills and creativity to develop innovative ways to provide a supportive learning environment, where pupils with SEND can access the curriculum. You will need to use your passion for inspiring children to enjoy learning, encouraging them to take pride in their achievements, be confident in their abilities and play an active role in school life.

ability to establish productive working relationships with children, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
encourages pupils to interact with others and engage all children in learning activities led by the teacher
willing to participate fully in ensuring inclusion of all children
able to use own initiative to ensure the best possible support for pupils and families
able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device
