We're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance and Insight team. This role will support essential financial processes, including purchase and sales ledgers, payroll, banking, and accounting. Our new Accounts Assistant will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring smooth transactions to support the Finance team. This is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week). We're flexible with both the working hours and workweek to suit the right person.
To achieve this, our new Accounts Assistant will:
* Manage the purchase ledger, including receiving, posting, and processing payments for all supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve any queries.
* Reconcile credit and debit card transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
* Process and manage expenses, including reviewing all claims and submitting relevant items to payroll.
* Collate data and submit reports to HMRC related to the PAYE Settlement Agreement.
* Collect ad-hoc payments from clients using GoCardless.
* Update the accounting system with bank transactions in a timely manner, ensuring sales receipts are accurately recorded.
* Reconcile banking and payments while maintaining accurate financial records.
* Liaise with the annual audit team to ensure accurate receipts and payment reports are prepared.
* Complete other ad-hoc tasks to support the Finance team as needed.
Qualifications and experience:
AAT qualification or similar.
