Main Duties of the Job
This position requires excellent communication skills, customer service, and administration skills (computer literate/typing/note taking/photo copying/filing/reception duties, etc.), dedication to exceptional patient care and service, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment, and the ability to represent their team and department with due professionalism.
Key responsibilities include supporting all administration tasks and aspects of admission and discharge processes in the unit.

Job Responsibilities
Overall Purpose of Job
* To work as a member of the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Service ensuring that a high quality and efficient service is provided at all times, which may include giving support and providing cover in other areas as requested.
* The Administration Assistant / Ward Clerk will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using Trust information systems.
* The postholder will require a team approach to ensure cover for other CAMHS services if urgently required.
Job Summary
* The service will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using Trust information systems.
* To provide administration support to the inpatient clinical team to ensure smooth running of the service and organise ward administration according to service need.
* The post holder will be responsible for maintaining documentation relating to admission and discharge into and out of the unit, setting up review meetings, and ensuring administration is organised ahead of clinical reviews.
* Post holders, as appropriate, will be required to provide administration duties on behalf of these services.
* Due to the nature of the role, a strong emphasis is placed on safeguarding confidentiality, which is a prerequisite for every Administration Assistant / Ward Clerk.
