We're looking for a Senior Digital Portfolio Manager to join our DWP Digital community.

Delivery. Work. Projects.
In DWP our Digital Portfolio Managers make sure that a portfolio of critical digital projects are planned, prioritised and effectively delivered.
You will integrate your portfolio with others within DWP Digital, as well as with Portfolios in other parts of the Department. You'll working closely with delivery teams across the organisation, understanding dependencies, and staying on tip of the 'bigger picture' of DWP and DWP Digital strategy.
Day to day you will:
Lead the team in identifying, capturing (using portfolio management tooling) and managing inter-project dependencies and risks.
Analyse and identify risks and blockers, using data you have gathered, experience and insight to spot planning and delivery risks, escalating as necessary.
Identify and prioritise new work, ensuring it aligns to the department's digital strategy, including identifying and supporting the resolution of resource contention.
Provide expert insight and advice during the project setup process, including managing and prioritising demand through the Digital Front Door and ensuring resources are available to deliver.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

Exceptional leadership skills with demonstratable experience of leading large-scale digital portfolios within a complex organisation, setting portfolio standards and providing independent portfolio assurance to senior executive leaders.
Strategic Planning
Proven experience of working with organisational objectives and ambitions to shape and influence Digital strategic planning and priorities.
Developing and improving Portfolio frameworks and controls
Established track record of developing and implementing portfolio frameworks, including taking accountability for delivering critical improvement activity to strengthen and ensure compliance with portfolio controls and standards.
Delivery knowledge and issue resolution
Experience of working in both waterfall and agile environments with the ability to think strategically and identify themes or issues that may cut cross the department. Lead and support multiple teams to resolve issues and impediments and maintain the delivery momentum across the portfolio.
Data Analysis and decision making
Strong analytical skills, experience of using a range of data analysis tools, techniques and providing independent interpretation of portfolio data. Experience of visualising the story of the data and communicate recommendations to a range of senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Engagement, Relationships
Experience in building successful relationships across organisational boundaries with diverse senior stakeholders using strong leadership and communication skills to build, manage and influence key strategic relationships.
A recognised Portfolio or Project Management qualification such as:
Management of Portfolios (Practitioner)
Prince2
