The Governors of Bramcote Hills Primary School wish to appoint an innovative, dynamic and highly committed person to the post of Class Teacher and SENCo.
This position becomes available following the promotion of the previous incumbent and is scheduled for January 2025.
The school has significantly developed its provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities over recent years and prides itself on its inclusive ethos. This was duly noted in our last OfSTED inspection. We are looking forward to appointing the right person to continue this approach who is also able to bring fresh ideas and expertise.
The school currently has 412 children and is a busy and lively place to work. It has operated successfully with a model of having two SENCos and this position is shared on a caseload basis. Both SENCos receive a day a week release time to carry out their duties in addition to PPA time and both postholders receive a full TLR2 payment. The successful candidate will also be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
The position represents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join the talented teaching team at this fantastic, high attaining school. Several of the attainment measures for KS2 2024 placed the school within the top 10 schools for Nottinghamshire. The teaching role open to candidates is initially in year 5 for two terms and then this can be negotiated moving forward. We would like to hear from applicants with regard to their particular strengths, experience and expertise.
Following its successful OfSTED inspection in October 2021, the school is in an exciting stage of its development and is working hard to spread outstanding teaching throughout the school whilst also maintaining the excellent range of opportunities it provides for its pupils.
We are looking for someone with:
• A passion for Teaching and Learning.
• The awareness to put the needs of children first.
• A strong commitment for ensuring the achievement and nurture of those children with additional needs.
• Outstanding teaching skills or the potential to be outstanding.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to work closely with parents/carers and staff.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding children.
• A healthy sense of humour.
• An ambition to develop themselves.
In return, we can provide:
• A supportive and talented staff team.
• A happy, friendly, welcoming family with a strong, positive, caring school ethos.
• Professional and dedicated staff and governors.
• A first-rate induction process and access to on-going CPD that could lead to career progression.
• Support from the partner SENCo.
• Support from the family SENCo.
• A leadership team with an unwavering commitment to school improvement.
• Access to staff well-being programme.
• Free on site car parking.
Bramcote Hills Primary is committed to effective safeguarding and all applications will be scrutinised accordingly. Should candidates be shortlisted, the school will obtain references before the interview stage and also carry out an online check.
Shortlisting is scheduled for Monday 14th October with a provisional interview date of Thursday 17th October. If you have not been called for interview by Wednesday 16th October, we regret that your application has not been successful on this occasion, and we wish you every success for the future.
